FlexJobs Identifies Top Opportunities for Remote, Part-Time Jobs

By news release  |    Wednesday July 13, 2022

Top companies, careers, and job titles in the remote, part-time job marketplace

Boulder, CO, July 12, 2022—Interest in part-time remote jobs has increased, with searches for “remote, part-time jobs” up 105 percent. Fortunately for today’s job seekers, there are plenty of part-time careers that can be done entirely from home. To provide additional insight and help job seekers better understand the opportunities available, FlexJobs has assessed the remote, part-time job market based on data between January 1, 2022, and June 30, 2022.

Through an analysis of more than 50 career categories in its database, the remote career service determined which 10 categories have the highest number of remote, part-time positions; the top 10 companies that have been hiring for remote, part-time positions; and the top 10 remote, part-time job titles that companies recruited for most during the first six months of 2022.

"Remote work and flexible schedules are top priorities for workers, so it’s no surprise that in today’s fast-changing work landscape, remote, part-time jobs are gaining serious traction," said Sara Sutton, Founder and CEO of FlexJobs. "A part-time career can help you fill employment gaps, earn supplemental income, tap into new skills––and especially when it’s remote––lead to greater job freedom and flexibility. Whatever the reason for seeking a remote, part-time job, we hope this list of resources helps and inspires job seekers to explore the healthy mix of part-time, work-from-home opportunities out there,” Sutton concluded.

There is no standard definition of “part-time,” although many employers use the Bureau of Labor Statistics' (BLS) definition of part-time work, which is working less than 35 hours per week. Most part-time job listings include an estimate or range of hours needed for the role.
