The National Registry of Certified Staffing Industry Professionals (NRCSIP) has undergone a number of changes to make it a more visible, accessible and usable tool for NAPS certificants to post their credentials for viewing by clients and jobseekers that may want to use their services. The NRCSIP was created by NAPS in the 2005 to provide a website where general information about certification is made available to the public and certified professionals could post their certifications for review by clients and jobseekers using their services. While the original registry was voluntary, NAPS now places the names, employers and certifications of all new certificants in the NRCSIP automatically.

In addition, new features are currently in development to assist CPCs, CTSs, PRCs and CERSs track their continuing education activity online and transmit their logs electronically. These features will be available in 2013.

Checking for Inclusion and Accuracy

Individuals who have earned their professional certification through NAPS are encouraged to go to www.nrcsip.com to ensure they are properly listed at the site. They should also check the expiration date for their certification as the registry now references that date. Individuals with a 2022 expiration date represent those certificants who earned their certification before 1995 when the continuing education requirement was inserted in the program rules. These individuals were “grandfathered” into lifetime certification and need not participate in the continuing education maintenance program. All others will have an expiration date somewhere within the coming calendar year.

Certificants who do not find their certification and contact information in the NRCIP or individuals who believe their expiration date is incorrect are asked to email those issues to fulfillment@recruitinglife.com. Indicate the discrepancy and provide a telephone number and email address where you can be contacted.

Current Continuing Education Requirement

Direct hire and temporary staffing professionals who hold one or more of the NAPS certifications are required currently to complete 17 hours of continuing education annually in order to maintain their certificate. That requirement can be met through a number of educational activities that are outlined on the www.recruitinglife.com website under the Certification Link.

New Features Coming in 2013

Beginning in 2013, certificants will be able to go to www.nrcsip.com, keep a private record of their continuing education electronically under their registry posting and eventually submit their renewal and pay their $27 administration fee online. This added feature will streamline the process and allow certificants to keep their continuing education records more efficiently.
